Package Tours

■ Reservation & Payment

    • For one-day tours: full payment is required at the time of booking.
    • For multi-day tours: a 30% deposit is required at the time of booking.

■ Payment Methods

    • Recommended: Through Credit Card Authorization Form (VISA or MasterCard only) – no service fee
    • Bank Transfer (USD or TWD account) – If your bank charges any transfer fees, please ensure that these fees are paid by you, so that the full tour amount is received by us.
    • Paypal– additional 2.5% service fee applies

■ Cancellation Policy
In case of trip cancellation, please refer to the following policies:

    • 7 days or more before the trip date – Forfeit deposit (30% of the total cost).
    • Less than 7 days before the trip date – No refund.
    • After the trip has started – no refund will be issued if you voluntarily leave the trip for any reason

Customized Taiwan Tours

■ Reservation & Payment

    1. After discussing your travel preferences, our tour consultant will create a tailor-made itinerary and provide you with a corresponding quote. Please note that the price is calculated based on the costs and exchange rates at the time of inquiry and, unless otherwise stated, is valid for seven days. Topology Travel reserves the right to adjust the price prior to the completion of the booking process.
    2. Once you agree to the itinerary and confirm the quote, we kindly request a 30% deposit to secure your trip. This deposit will be used to book all necessary arrangements, including accommodations, transportation, and guide services. Upon confirmation of your deposit, we will issue an invoice for your records.
    3. The remaining 70% balance must be paid no later than 14 days before the departure date. At that time, we will also provide detailed information, including your guide’s name, contact information, and pickup time.
    4. For bookings made less than 14 days before the departure date, full payment of 100% is required immediately. Please note that urgent bookings may incur an additional priority processing fee.
    5. Topology Travel reserves the right to cancel any tour before it is officially confirmed. If full payment is not received 14 days before departure, the company reserves the right to cancel the tour and retain the deposit.

■ Payment Methods

    • Payoneer – additional 2% service fee applies
    • If you have a bank account in Taiwan, you can also make a local bank transfer to us with no service fees.

■ Postponement Policy

    • If the trip is postponed due to personal reasons of the traveler, a handling fee of 5% of the total booking amount will be charged.

    • The remaining balance may be transferred and applied to a new travel date within one (1) year from the original departure date.

    • Any additional costs resulting from the change of travel date, including but not limited to price increases for tours, activities, accommodations, transportation, or other services, shall be the responsibility of the traveler.

    • Any retained balance not used within one (1) year will be deemed forfeited automatically without refund.

■ Cancellation Policy

    • Customer-Initiated Trip Cancellation

If you choose to cancel your trip, the following policy applies:

      1. 7 days or more before the trip date – Forfeit deposit (30% of the total cost).
      2. Less than 7 days before the trip date – No refund.
      3. After the trip has begun – No refund will be issued if you voluntarily leave the trip for any reason.

If you are involuntarily required to leave the trip for any reason, any refund will be at the sole discretion of Topology Travel.

Any handling fees incurred due to a cancellation or refund will be borne by the customer.

  • Cancellations Due to Force Majeure (Beyond Human Control)

In extraordinary circumstances such as war, civil unrest, terrorism, strikes, natural disasters, or other force majeure events, either party may cancel the trip upon providing reasonable documentation demonstrating that the event has materially affected the itinerary (e.g., proof of flight cancellation, official government travel advisories, or government announcements of office or school closures due to typhoons or other emergencies).

In such cases, after deducting any actual costs already incurred by the travel agency that cannot be recovered, the remaining balance of the tour fee will be refunded to the traveler.

Insurance

According to Taiwanese tourism law, we are required by law to provide travel insurance for all travelers. Our travel insurance coverage includes NTD 2.5 million life insurance and NTD 200,000 accidental injury insurance.

Once you book our tour, please make sure to provide the following personal information:

  • Name

  • Nationality

  • Passport number

  • Date of birth

To ensure your protection, it is mandatory to provide this information before the trip begins. Your personal information will be used solely for insurance purposes.

Terms and Conditions validity

Itinerary and Rate Validity

  • The itinerary we provide is planned based on the information currently available. Please note that the sequence of activities may be adjusted, all the items listed in the itinerary will be completed.

  • If adjustments are needed due to transportation (such as changes in train or flight schedules), road conditions, safety concerns, or government policies, we will make every effort to inform you of any changes.

  • In exceptional circumstances, such as war, terrorism, natural disasters, or other force majeure events, either party may need to modify the itinerary. Cost responsibilities are as follows:
    • If the change is requested by the traveler, the traveler will bear any additional costs.
    • If the change is initiated by Topology Travel, we will cover any additional costs.

  • All changes will be made following reasonable communication between both parties.

  • The itinerary prices are calculated based on costs and exchange rates at the time of inquiry. Unless otherwise specified, quotations are valid for seven days. Topology Travel reserves the right to adjust prices prior to the completion of the booking process.

  • Topology Travel reserves the right to cancel any tour prior to its official confirmation.

Responsibility

■ Traveler’s Responsibility

    • Travelers are responsible for selecting tours that match their physical abilities and personal interests. To assist you, Topology Travel provides recommendations based on participants’ fitness levels and are happy to discuss the itinerary with you.
    • Travelers are responsible for ensuring they are in good health and physically capable of participating in the chosen tours. They are also responsible for preparing for the trip by reviewing the itinerary and pre-departure information provided by Topology Travel, and for bringing the recommended clothing and equipment.
    • Travelers must arrive on time for all scheduled activities. Failure to participate without prior notice will be considered a voluntary forfeiture of that activity.

■ Topology Travel’s Responsibility

    • Topology Travel will make every effort to provide the highest quality services. We are responsible for planning, promoting, and selling travel itineraries, which may include, but are not limited to, land transportation, sightseeing spots, experiential activities, and accommodations. These services are arranged or purchased from various suppliers, and we make every effort to select reputable partners.

      These suppliers and services are all independent contractors and are not employees or agents of Topology Travel. Therefore, Topology Travel is not responsible for any negligence, errors, incomplete services, or failure to provide services by these suppliers. All vouchers, tickets, and receipts are subject to the terms and conditions set by the respective suppliers.

      By using these suppliers’ services, you agree that neither Topology Travel nor its representatives will be liable for any accidents, injuries, costs, property damage, or personal loss to you or your travel companions arising from accommodations, transportation, or other travel services, or resulting directly or indirectly from circumstances beyond Topology Travel’s control, including but not limited to acts of terrorism, war, vehicle defects, equipment breakdowns, strikes, theft, delays, or changes to itineraries or schedules.

    • Topology Travel is not responsible for any expenses you incur in preparing for the trip (such as airfare, visa fees, equipment, or medical costs) or for any additional travel arrangements you make independently.

Claim

Any dispute arising from services provided by Topology Travel shall be resolved through friendly consultation between the parties. The party submitting the claim must notify the other party in writing, in English, within 7 days after the conclusion of the services, detailing the nature of the dispute.
