Arrive at Kbanun Tribe and Meet the Local Aboriginal Residents
Welcomed by the Atayal people. To immerse ourselves in their culture, we will participate in a Welcome Ceremony, where we will dress like the Atayal people and get traditional Atayal tattoos.
Enjoy a Traditional Indigenous Lunch
In the tribe, the yaya (a respectful term for elder women in Atayal culture) are known for their amazing cooking skills. We will also get hands-on and make our own bamboo rice, a traditional meal cooked inside bamboo tubes.
Become a Hunter
Before entering the forest, we will participate in the traditional Gaga prayer ceremony. Then, we will learn about the ecological environment of the hunting grounds, explore animal tracks, and familiarize ourselves with local plants. Next comes the exciting part: we will practice archery.
