Highlights

Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall
Standing as the symbol of Kuomintang and Taiwan’s first President Chiang Kai Shek, the massive commemorative monument mirrors the “Clear blue sky, white sun, and a wholly red earth” described in the the national anthem in its architecture. Here you can watch the changing of guards on the hour in the main hall, and visit the National Theater and Concert Hall located nearby.

The Tallest Skyscraper in Taiwan: Taipei 101
When you overlook the low-rise city landscape of Taipei, you’ll see that it’s worth waiting in line to get a God’s-eye-view of the city. The elevators in 101 rocket you up to the 89th floor in only 37 seconds where you can sit atop the pride and joy of architecture in Taiwan.

Must-eat Restaurant: Michelin Star – Xiao Long Bao at “Din Tai Fung”
The New York Times rated Din Tai Fung as one of the top ten restaurants in the world. It is a distinctive honor shared by no other Taiwanese restaurants in the past. In 2013, Din Tai Fung was ranked No. 1 in the “101 Best Restaurants in Asia” list, released by The Daily Meal.

Lunar New Year Shopping Area – Dihua Street and Xia Hai City God Temple
This street is part of the historic Dadaocheng area, an early commercial and trading center of the city as far back as the late Qing period. In addition to New Year's supplies, there are many stores here selling tea, Chinese medicinal herbs, and wholesale cloth.
